This document outlines how your company will handle personal information you collect/control from individuals in China (i.e., when you are the controller). This is meant to be an internal document, so it should be available to individuals within your company.

PIPL Contract Addendum: Entrusted Party (Processor)

This document provides language you can use in agreements with third parties who share personal information with your organization to process on their behalf (i.e., you are the entrusted party/processor). The document can be added to an existing contract or any new contracts moving forward. At this time this document should only be used if the data is staying in China. China has yet to release clauses that can be used when transferring the information out of China.

This document weighs the costs and benefits of data handling activities that are likely to have a “major influence” on individuals in China. This is meant to be an internal document that you complete when you are the personal information handler/controller. You may need to disclose it to a regulator if audited.
